Phone Notify! API
Quick Start: VB.NET
There are three steps to integrating the Phone Notify! API into your Visual Studio VB.NET project:
1. Obtain a Esendex License Key.
Sign up for an account and complete the request form.
2. Add the Phone Notify web reference to your project.
In order to call the Phone Notify! API, you'll need the add a web reference into your project.
a. Open your Visual Studio project, right click on Project, and select the Add > Service Reference… menu item as show in the diagram.
b. Click the Advanced… button.
c. Click the Add Web Reference… button.
d. Enter the Phone Notify! web reference URL http://ws.esendex.us/NotifyWS/PhoneNotify.asmx?wsdl and click the arrow button. Type in a name for your web reference ("WSDL" is used in this example). Click the Add Reference… button.
e. Once the wizard has successfully contacted the Phone Notify! API service, the name of your service will be listed under Web References and a success message will be displayed.
3. Call the Phone Notify! method.
a. Add your new web reference to your code.
b. Create an instance of PhoneNotify and call the NotifyPhoneBasic method (as shown).
c. Run the project and examine the results.
